[ Luke let out a faint noise, the protest that he didn’t believe Kylo was a mistake on his lips, but he kept it back. He knew he didn’t want to hear that, not from him; or at the least, not this version of him. ]

[ He squeezed his shoulder, before letting his hand drop. ]

Anytime you want to see me, let me know. Even if it’s just to fight; I’ll make time for you. I mean that.

[He owed Luke nothing- not the one he left behind or this one, and he was exceedingly wary of the offer. But he sensed nothing but honesty from the man, and he appreciated the effort to consider his comfort. He would think about this.]

[ He looked like he was going to leave it there for a moment, turning to leave. But he paused, looking back toward Kylo with a curious look on his face. ]

I do have one question...

[ Luke looked like he was going to be serious, but a smile was creeping up on his face, totally ruining it. ]

How have you not strangled Hux yet?

[Was that a smile, creeping onto Kylo's face in response? Surely not.]

[ Luke tried very hard to look disapproving, but it didn't work, at all. He flashed a broad smile before he hid it behind a hand, shoulders shaking with silent laughter for a moment. ]

Good. It's not just me.

No. But if you touch him, I will have to kill you.

[He looked amused- it was definitely still a joke. Of course.]

[ Luke held his hands up in surrender, a smile still lingering on his face. ]

I didn't even realize I was doing it until he started grabbing for his throat. It's not something I really want to make a habit of.

[ It was nice seeing the smug smile off his face for a moment, though. ]

[He laughed. A short, abortive laugh, the image amusing rather than irritating him. He doubted very much Luke would actually harm the General.

The Dark Side can be... very seductive. Particularly when General Hux is involved.

I'd be lying if I said it wasn't tempting to keep squeezing.

[ But he was Luke; the say he killed someone out of malicious intent would be a very dark day indeed. ]

There are times I am convinced ten minutes alone with General Hux would cause any Jedi to turn to darkness.

[He can't help it. He sounds... almost fond.]

[ Luke snorted at that. ]

He must be star-sent for Dark Side followers; like a constant source of rage and irritation.

[ Yeah, nope; Luke couldn't keep a straight face at that. He erupted into near giggles again, fighting them back with the hand over his mouth once more. ]

[Kylo wasn't doing much better. A few moments later he was laughing, too, if only for a few breaths.]

Don't-- don't tell him I said that. He'll be insufferable.

[ Luke's laughter calmed, but he still favored Kylo with a broad, happy smile. ]
